This is a physical-chemical hybrid body scrub built around fine exfoliating beads for immediate tactile polishing, paired with gluconolactone (PHA) — a gentle multi-hydroxy acid that continues resurfacing after rinsing without the sensitivity often associated with stronger acids such as AHA or BHA. Sodium hyaluronate and beta-glucan restore moisture right after exfoliation, while niacinamide, panthenol, and allantoin calm and support the skin barrier. A shea butter, squalane, and caprylic/capric triglyceride base leaves a light conditioning film, avoiding the tight, over-dry after-feel common to scrub formats.

PHA concentration. Gluconolactone level can be adjusted to tune exfoliation intensity and suit different sensitivity positioning.
Exfoliant texture. The base formula uses spherical cellulose beads for a rounded, gentle scrub feel. Rounder alternatives such as jojoba esters or PLA beads sit in the same gentle category. Coarser natural particulates such as walnut shell or apricot seed powder can be substituted for a more intensive scrub — note these have irregular, angular edges and are generally considered more abrasive, not gentler, than rounded bead options.
Active blend. Additional actives (e.g. centella asiatica for calming, vitamin C derivatives for brightening) can be layered onto this base system.
Fragrance. The base formula is fragrance-free; a light fragrance can be added on request.
